“You are not alone”

During my charla with Doctora Carla, she shared that she once met a famous Brazilian actress who asked her, “How is your new life as en expatriada (expat)?” Carla was so shocked! She had not realized that she was in fact now settled in a different country. After all, who would have the time to reflect about their immigration journey while studying and taking medical licensing exams, ensuring their fluency in the new language, and applying for medical residency?

As you listen to Carla’s journey on how she found her therapist, she invites you to seek therapy as an opportunity to get to know yourself better, to gain insight, to accept your multiple identities, and to uncover your new path if you are experiencing life transitions.

Carla closes our charla reminding you that you are not alone, that although complex, the journey of finding a therapist that is right for you is totally worth it.
